Lembert Dome
Lembert Dome
September 10, 2017
I drove down to Tuolumne Meadows, parked at the base of Lembert Dome, and headed off up the north trail to the top.
After a couple of miles through the forest, I came out on the summit ridge of the dome. There’s some fun easy scrambling in places on the way to the true summit from here.
The view of Tuolumne Meadows and the Cathedral Range from the summit of Lembert Dome.
I went back down the way I came and was back at the car in 45 minutes round trip.
I pulled over to take some pictures at Tuolumne Meadows, as I could see both of the peaks I had just climbed from the meadows.
While I considered adding Mount Hoffman as well, that would have pushed my arrival home from 7 or so until 9 or so. I decided that I had already broken up the drive enough and should just head home. So, that’s what I did.
